Healthy Raisin Bread

Some people think that making a healthy bread at home is difficult, but that is not true, you can make healthy raisin bread easily without making any extra effort with this recipe.

You need to know that this snack will provide your body with energy, and it will give your kids a huge amount of protein.

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • one half cups raisins
  • 1 cup bran cereal like All-Bran
  • one half cups cottage cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 Tablespoons active dry yeast
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour

 

Directions:

  1. Make the honey warm and put it with oats, bran cereal, raisins, cottage cheese, molasses, and salt
  2. Melt the butter by using boiling water and mix it with the another bowl
  3. Crack the egg and whisk with warmed honey, the melted butter and milk
  4. Mix with them the whole wheat flour
  5. Make the dough into 3 loaves then set in bread pans
  6. Leave them covered with a towel for almost an hour
  7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  8. Bake loaves for 40-45 minutes, and you will know that they are ready when they become golden brown
  9. Remove from pans
  10. cool them on wire racks
